Caregivers of patients with Alzheimer’s have an opportunity for support and information through the Georgia REACH program that is now available in Bryan County.
According to Arminda Perch, a Georgia REACH interventionist with the Coastal Regional Commission’s Area Agency on Aging, the program offers resources, encouragement and more to caregivers of Alzheimer’s patients.
"The goal of the program is to help ease the overall burden on caregiving because it’s hard work," Perch said. "So many programs are out there for the care recipient and it’s nice that (REACH) focuses on the caregivers."
