David Perdue will be the Republican nominee for a U.S. Senate seat after he defeated longtime Congressman Jack Kingston in Tuesday's runoff. Other winners were Buddy Carter, who edged out Dr. Bob Johnson for the Republican nomination for the District 1 seat being vacated by Kinston; he'll face Democrat Brian Reese of Savannah in November after Reese beat Richmond Hill's Amy Tavio in a runoff.
