Part of Richmond Hill street to be closed starting Monday
DOT

The Georgia Department of Transportation will have a temporary road closure in conjunction with drainage-pipe replacement on Rushing Street in Richmond Hill starting Monday, according to a news release.

Rushing Street will be closed between Ford Avenue and Buford Cook Drive with traffic detoured from about 7 a.m. Monday until 5 p.m. Friday. Motorists will be able to access to residences on this street up to the work zone.

The existing storm drainage-pipe will be replaced under the roadway and the roadway will be resurfaced, if needed. The city of Richmond Hill will be installing the road closure and detour.

The roadway will reopen early if the work is completed ahead of schedule, or could possibly be closed longer if weather delays the work.
