Georgia State Patrol is investigating a hit-and-run accident that occurred in North Bryan County early Monday morning that left a 19-year-old Savannah woman dead.
Trooper Chris Cuddington identified the victim as Tamoni Williams. The accident occurred around 5 a.m. at Highway 280 and Deloach Road.
Cuddington said William was walking near the eastbound lane when the accident occurred. Officials say William was in her boyfriend’s vehicle when they began arguing and she got out and began walking. The man drove off and she was struck a short time later. Cuddington said GSP has ruled out the boyfriend as a suspect.
