The seventh annual Kids’ Crabbing Tourney, presented by Salt Cured Foundation, will be held at Ft. McAllister Marina on Sept. 17, with proceeds being donated to Family Promise of Bryan County on behalf of the winner.

Last year’s event drew more than 70 children competing for the heaviest catch. Individuals or teams may weigh-in their 10 largest crabs. Additional prizes will be awarded to winners and all participants will receive a medal. Drawings will be held for door prizes, and there will be music, hermit crab races, snow cones, giveaways and more followed by a traditional crab boil.

Registration is 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. and weigh-in is 4:30 p.m. Cost is $10 per child or $50 per boat with unlimited children on a team. For more information contact John Seckinger at (912) 457-0149 or john@doziercrane.com or Julie Seckinger at (912) 572-9191 or julie@coastalnow.net.
