Richmond Hill police have charged Malic Stevens of Savannah in the August 2014 daytime shooting of a Suites at Station Exchange Employee.

Stevens, 20, of the 1200 Block of East 54thStreet, is charged with aggravated assault for the shooting of Cooper Suddath, who has since recovered.

Stevens is in Bryan County Jail in Pembroke, according to RHPD, which said results from the GBI crime lab led to the aggravated assault charge.

Stevens and Jahques Rogers, 21,of the 4000 block of 5th Street, were arrested in August and charged with entering auto after what police termed a “multi-state pursuit and investigation.”

Suddath was shot after he confronted "three to four" suspects trying to break into his pickup, which was parked near the facility in downtown Richmond Hill.

He was flown by LifeStar to Memorial Health with a gunshot wound to the abdomen, and the shooting in downtown Richmond Hill in broad daylight shocked many residents.
