Boil water advisory in effect for some Bryan County systems
boil water

From an abundance of caution, a boil water advisory (BWA) remains in effect for the following water systems, reports Water Utility Management.

Altamaha Acres
The Bluffs at Richmond Hill
Brigham Lakes
Heron Point
Marsh Harbor
Mill Hill
Oxford
Sayles Landing
Strathy Hall
Woodland Lakes

If you live on these water systems, please boil water before drinking, cooking, and preparing baby food.

You do not have to boil water for bathing, cleaning, or other household uses.

The water remains chlorinated, but the BWA will last until lab test results confirming the safety of the water are received. Water Unitlity Management expects to have results by 4 p.m. on Friday.

Water Utility Management will alert customers via telephone if they are under a BWA.  Residents may additionally check the "System Status" menu on the left of waterga.com and search for their water system.

They will lift notices as quickly as possible once state requirements have been met.
