Richmond Hill High School won its season basketball opener Saturday night, beating Wayne County 64-26.
Wildcats Isaiah Hill and Zane McKenzie led a balanced scoring attack with 13 and 10 points, respectively. McKenzie also blocked four shots and freshman Sam James added nine points and a team-high seven rebounds. Richmond Hill jumped out to a 21-4 first quarter lead and led 40-19 at halftime. The Wildcats held Wayne County to just seven second-half points.
The girls lost 43-34. Stats were not available.

Bryan County High School swept Southeast Bulloch in nonregion action Saturday in Pembroke. The Redskins beat the Yellow Jackets 86-66 and the Lady Redskins won 58-22. Stats were unavailable.
