9-11 memorials planned for Sunday
9-11 BCES

Bryan County Emergency Services and the city of Richmond Hill will mark the 15th anniversary of the 9-11 terrorist attacks with events Sunday morning.

BCES is holding its second annual “Walk 2 Remember 343” at 8 a.m. at the Fallen Firefighter Memorial behind the county administration building on Capt. Matthew Freeman Drive. The event is free, but participants are encouraged to purchase a T-shirt for $10 with the names of the 343 New York firefighters who died in the World Trade Center attacks printed on the back. Proceeds will go to benefit the South Bryan Volunteer Association.
