Library was focus of Business After Hours gathering
library meeting

The Friends of the Library hosted the August Richmond Hill-Bryan County Chamber of Commerce "Business After Hours" event last Thursday.

Held at the Richmond Hill Library, food and cocktails were served to Chamber members who listened to presentations from Chamber board chairman Dallas Daniel, and Dr. Gloria Shearin, vice president of the Friends of the Library.

Shearin spoke passionately about the hard work the volunteer members perform. This includes book sales that take place the second Saturday of odd-numbered months.  The next sale is Saturday, September 14 at the library.

She said through donations, the monetary support they are able to give to the library enables programs and items to be purchased such as large print books. Shearin wants residents to know that they accept donations at the library and would love to have new volunteers.
