Legion replaces worn flags at cemetery
legion flags1

Members of the American Legion Post 27 posted and replaced worn flags at Oak Hill Cemetery recently.

Participants included Commander John H Ellis Sr., Chaplain Mike Matuzan, Sgt. at Arms Thomas Johnson, and Finance Officer Terrance Herzog (seen in the group photo) and Adjutant David James.

Oak Hill has veterans from every conflict, from World War II to present day's War on Terror.

When asked why the Legion takes the time to do this twice a year, Matuzan replied, "It's one of the ways we do our duty to consecrate and sanctify our comradeship by our devotion to mutual helpfulness."
