Highlighting Savannah Global Solutions
Development Authority of Bryan County

The Development Authority of Bryan County (DABC) would like to feature Savannah Global Solutions, a forestry and agriculture equipment manufacturer located in the J.D. Harn Industrial Park in Pembroke. The company, founded in 1987 and owned by Mark and Trudy Sauer, relocated to Bryan County in 2012.

In addition to creating new jobs in the community, Savannah Global helped initially recruit another existing industry, CZM, to Bryan County because of an existing business relationship.

Savannah Global produces a variety of forestry and land development solutions, from rotary rakes to stump-pullers, various plows and road graders. These exceptionally durable products are designed to be used in demanding agriculture applications and can be outfitted on bulldozers, forestry skidders, and four-wheel drive tractors. In addition to being used all over the world, the company’s patented stump puller and rotary rake land clearing system will be used for the tree and stump removal at the Mega Site as the land is prepared for construction of Hyundai Motor Group’s new facility.

Over the years, the company has expanded internationally, exporting to over 30 countries as diverse as Brazil, Uganda, Italy, and Indonesia. Because of these successes, the Georgia Small Business Administration named Savannah Global the 2014 “Exporter of the Year.”

“Savannah Global is such an interesting company because the products they manufacture here in Bryan County are sent out worldwide,” said DABC Chairman Jon Seagraves. “Mark and Trudy are great partners; from creating jobs in the community to helping recruit another industry that has continued to grow in our community. It is a pleasure to have them in our existing industry base, and I’m so glad to highlight them this month.”

The DABC also markets Bryan County throughout the U.S. and the world to try to attract new industries to locate their manufacturing, distribution, and related industrial facilities in the community.
