Georgia Southern University recently recognized about 1,400 students for excellence in academics on the spring 2018 president's list.

Students named to the list for excellence in academics include:

Ellabell: Virginia Alstad, Erik Davis, Elizabeth Hawkins, Samantha Helvering, William Kendrick, Jennifer Lindsey, Ciara Page, Taylor Roop and Madison White.

Pembroke: Courtney Cook, Joseph Ham, Shamiria Key, Phillip Sapp and Emily Wiggins.

Richmond Hill: Victoria Barrett, Katie Braid, Taylor Brantley, Alecia Breen, Ashley Callahan, Megan Carter,  Marcie DeMond, Elizabeth Dobson, Jared Durrance, Brian Eichhorn, Caitlin Elkins, Darrell Fullmer, Michelle Graddick, Nicholas Hadley, Claire Halliburton, Arneshia Henderson, Daakem Hodge, Emily Hollowell, Sarah Inglesby, Sadie Ingram, Jacob Jones, Alexandrea Levines, Christina McKinley, Chelsea Riley, Savannah Schell and Shirley Senefeld.

To be eligible for the president's list, a student must have at least a 4.0 grade point average and carry a minimum of 12 hours for the semester.
