The Bryan County Board of Education is expecting to have nearly $800,000 more in its coffers from the state than originally thought, based on the preliminary fiscal 2011 budget recently approved by the Georgia General Assembly. Bryan County schools chief financial officer Melanie James reported the good news Tuesday morning to board members during their called meeting at the school board building in Pembroke.
