Georgia DOT Announces I-95 Exit 76 ramp closures start Aug. 3

In conjunction with the resurfacing project of Interstate 95 in Liberty and Bryan Counties, contractors will close one ramp each night at Exit 76 (Midway/Sunbury) starting Saturday, Aug. 3 through Saturday, Aug. 10 from 7 p.m. until 7 a.m.
These overnight ramp closures are required for the contractor to resurface the ramps and gore areas at this interchange. Traffic will be detoured via I-95 South to Exit 67 to access I-95 northbound to US 84 and I-95 North to Exit 87 to access I 95 southbound to US 84/SR 38. All work is weather contingent.
Motorists are advised to find an alternate route or reduce speeds as they travel through this construction work zone. Message signs, barrels and/or cones will be utilized to alert the public of the upcoming changes. Drivers should be aware that personnel and equipment could be operating in close proximity to travel lanes.
