Fort Stewart-Hunter Army Airfield will allow access to Department of Defense identification card holders only at certain times during the weekend, Fort Stewart's Public Affairs Office announced Friday.

Beginning Saturday, the Fort Stewart main post will be closed to anyone without a DoD ID card from 11 p.m. to 3 a.m. Sunday. This change to installation access will continue indefinitely every Saturday night.

DoD ID card holders may escort one guest onto the installation who has proper identification and is not on the installation bar roster.

Directorate of Emergency Services law enforcement officers and their AKAL partners strive to maintain vigilance and a safe and secure environment for the installation's soldiers, family members, and civilians, the release said.
