The Bryan County High School Annual Redskin Shootout fundraiser was held on Saturday, April 4 at Black Creek Golf Club in Ellabell and Bryan County athletic director/football coach Ron Lewis was pleased with the turnout. "The tournament was a success as 78 players participated. I would like to thank all the participants and sponsors who played and contributed money towards the cause," said Lewis. The fundraiser is the biggest of the year for Bryan County High athletics and raises several thousand dollars each year to support athletics. This year, the funds raised are allotted to the football program to buy equipment, supplies, recertifications, coaches gear etc. The format was a 3-man scramble and door prizes and lunch were provided. Redskins' parents, students, coaches and athletes helped throughout the event.
