Bryan County Emergency Services will host its annual Firefighters Ball at 6 p.m.on Saturday, Feb. 9 at Belhaven, and all proceeds from the event will go to help purchase equipment for first responders.

Guests will enjoy a social hour, followed by a gourmet dinner at 7 p.m.

and then dancing until 11 p.m. Music will be provided by DJ Brian Conley. Tickets to the black-tie affair, which is open to the public, are $30 each or $50 per couple and can be purchased online by following the link on the Bryan County Emergency Services’ Facebook event page. Ticket sales end Monday, Feb. 4.

BCES Director Freddy Howell looks forward to planning this event each year and sees it as a way for his staff to enjoy an evening out in exchange for all their hard work.

“The Firefighter’s Ball is a special time for the men and women in Public Safety. They work many long days and nights around the clock all year and it’s a time they can dress up and go out and enjoy each other’s company and fellowship,” Howell said.

Since the event falls on the weekend before Valentine’s Day, the BCES team hopes many residents will seize the opportunity for a date night and support the area’s first responders in the process.

Belhaven is located at 1054 Belfast River Road in Richmond Hill.
