Field Day gets high marks

Hundreds of third and fourth grade students at Bryan County Elementary School hit the field last Friday for a day of action packed fun and silliness.

To the joy of both teachers and students BCES, their annual field day fun was once again a great success.

Taking full advantage of the warm weather and clear skies the students and staff competed in many field events such as sack races, three-legged-relays, musical chairs, sponge relays, soccer kicks, softball throws and more. The day cumulated with class against class tug-of-wars and a student versus teachers all fun dodge ball game, in the teachers can out on top with many whispers of sneaky practices according to the students.

"We have a blast spending time outdoors with the kids," said third grade teacher Crystal Lanier. "It is so much fun playing with the kids and encouraging exercise."

All participating students were given Field Day T-shirts to wear and have classmates sign and a Field Day water bottle.
