DOT announces more road work on I-95

GEORGIA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATIONMEDIA ALERT For Immediate Release                                                                                   Contact: Cissy Mc NureMonday, August 3, 2009                                                                    478-552-4656 Liberty CountyI-95 NORTH LANE CLOSURE MP 66- 68, MP 68-71 & MP 71-74; NEW DATES ANNOUNCED WHEN:          7 p.m. — 7 a.m., Monday, August 37 p.m. — 7 a.m., Tuesday, August 47 p.m. — 7 a.m., Wednesday, August 57 p.m. — 7 a.m., Thursday, August 67 p.m. — 7 a.m., Friday, August 77 p.m. — 7 a.m., Saturday, August 8 WHERE:       I-95 north, MP 66 to MP 68                        I-95 north, MP 68 to MP 71                        I-95 north, MP 71 to MP 74 WHAT:          Lane closures for bridge approach work; Two (2) of three (3) northbound lanes will be closed August 3 through 8, weather permitting This is a WORK ZONE and extreme caution is necessary.  Motorists are advised to reduce speeds as they travel through this construction work zone. Message signs, barrels and cones will be utilized to alert the public of the upcoming changes. Georgia DOT endeavors to work with the community and minimize traffic delays caused by construction.
