Bryan County has had 651 cases and eight deaths due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Coastal Health District said Saturday in its latest update.

As of 3 p.m., August 8th, there have been 11,262 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in residents of the Coastal Health District and 143 deaths.
Cases by county:
- Bryan: 651 cases, 8 deaths
- Camden: 730 cases, 5 deaths
- Chatham: 5,665 cases, 75 deaths
- Effingham: 719 cases, 2 death
- Glynn: 2,487 cases, 47 deaths
- Liberty: 713 cases, 3 deaths
- Long: 123 cases, 1 death
- McIntosh: 174 cases, 2 deaths
