Council nixes City Center plan 3-2

Despite a second presentation and slight change in plans, the Richmond Hill City Council on Tuesday shot down the City Center management’s proposal to host Sunday brunches, bi-weekly cocktails and networking evenings at the venue.
The vote, taken during Tuesday’s regular board meeting, was 3-2 against the proposal. Council members Russ Carpenter and Van Hunter voted for disapproving the project, while Marilyn Hodges and Jimmy Hires voted against that motion. Mayor Harold Fowler cast the tie-splitti
