The planning committee for the inaugural Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration in Richmond Hill met last week to continue laying the foundation for the event.

Unity in the Community, the city of Richmond Hill and interested citizens are coming together to make sure King is commemorated locally. The committee hopes to get residents, schools and businesses involved through various activities and programs during the weekend leading up to the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday in January 2019.
