City of Pembroke sets curfew and other COVID-19 restrictions

Pembroke City Administrator Alex Floyd announced the following measures, effective at 6 p.m. Tuesday,  to help restrict the spread of the COVID-19 virus in Pembroke.

-All City lobbies, parks and equipment are closed to the public until the city receives back its regular crew of detainee cleaning details.

 -All recycling and debris pickup beyond traffic endangering situations are suspended.

 -A curfew for all businesses and individuals not deemed critical will be enforced between the hours of 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. Businesses and their employees may close and remain in the building after 9 p.m. to restock, resupply and clean.

-All gatherings of 10 or more individuals in a non-life threatening situation will be cited as endangering the public health and will be ordered to disperse.

 These measures are an exercise of Section 10 of the Joint Resolution passed by the Bryan County Board of Commissioners at their called session March 23, 2020.
