City approves agreements for recycling, Belfast Commerce Centre

An agreement for water and sewer services has been reached between the city of Richmond Hill and TerraPointe for Belfast Commerce Centre.

At its regularly scheduled meeting Tuesday, the Richmond Hill City Council approved 3-0 to enter into the agreement to bring water and sewer to Belfast Commerce Centre. Council member Jan Bass was absent.

Council member Russ Carpenter asked city attorney Ray Smith for clarification about who is paying for the project, and Smith said the cost shall be carried by the owner of the property.

Also at the meeting, the council approved 3-0 a contract with Waste Management for recycling in the city. The recycling program is set to begin Nov. 1.
