Running for: Mayor
Why he’s running:
I love this city and it’s people, and I will continue to work very hard to make Richmond Hill better. By running for mayor I will be pursuing a new challenge, one that I profoundly believe is needed to set the course for Richmond Hill to become the city we want and need.
I’m well informed on current city issues, and have fresh ideas to take us into the future. I believe the people expect all city officials to be accountable and make well informed management decisions and I believe I bring the leadership traits required to make this continue to happen. My experience has given me the knowledge and skills required for operations between city, county and school board and to insure smooth communications for all citizens.
City council since 1989; BA Business; 20 Year Military Veteran with two combat air medals; wife and I owned business in Richmond Hill for 6 years.
In 12 years on the council I have chaired many committees and have directly been involved in all issues and events during this time. I have held fast to my fundamental beliefs and values when making decisions.
