Georgia’s holiday on sales tax for back-to-school goods is Friday and Saturday. The exemption is on the state’s 4 percent tax and not local levies, meaning 3 percent will still be charged in Bryan County. The accompanying document, at left, gives a breakdown of what is exempt.
