Richmond Hill/Bryan County Chamber of Commerce will host a ribbon-cutting and open house reception for Holiday Inn Express from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday at the hotel at 4601 Highway 17.

The ribbon cutting will take place at 11:30 a.m. and throughout the open house guests will enjoy light refreshments and tours of the hotel.

Formerly Comfort Suites with Choice Hotels International, the property opened as a Holiday Inn Express with IHG officially on Sept. 27. The property boasts 65 rooms, three floors and features a brand new look with a contemporary feel and bright fresh colors. Kenny Patel, owner, invested around $1.5 million dollars in property renovations, according to chamber officials.
