Richmond Hill and area residents now have a new option for quick and convenient health care through the new MinuteClinic located inside the CVS Pharmacy Drug Store at the intersection of highways 144 and 17.
This CVS and the store on Ogeechee Road in Savannah are the first to offer the walk-in retail medical clinic service to residents in the area.
“If you get off work and don’t feel good, or if you pick your child up from school and they are sick, you don’t have to wait until the next day to go to the doctor,” MinuteClinic’s family nurse practitioner Jessica Glover said.
Glover is just one of four nurse practitioners that work in the two clinics that offer services ranging from treatment for a sore throat and cough to flu and Hepatitis vaccinations.
“We can do physicals, so if you need a physical for school or work, and we offer DOT physicals. And we do some health screenings, like cholesterol screenings,” she said.
The average visit time in the MinuteClinic is around 15 minutes, Glover said.
“No one likes to feel bad, and we try to make things as convenient and accessible as possible,” she said. “We want people to be able to come in and get out quickly.”
