Development panel elects officers

The Development Authority of Bryan County recently elected a new slate of officers for the 2011-12 year.
Steve Croy of Richmond Hill was elected chairman. Croy is the principal of the Croy Realty Group LLC, a real estate and consulting firm in Richmond Hill.
Dell Keith, president and CEO of Bryan Bank and Trust, was re-elected as vice chairman of the board for a third term.
Billy Conley of Pembroke was elected treasurer for his first term. He is the owner of Pembroke Pharmacy and Southern Sportsman Supply in Pembroke.
Sean Register of Richmond Hill was elected secretary. Register is the CEO of Register International, a shipping company based in Bryan County.
“It is an honor to work with the fine people on this board who give of their time and talents to make Bryan County a better place,” Croy said. “In the current economic environment, it is imperative that communities project an image of welcoming capital investment to create a diverse and sustainable work force. I look forward to spreading that message and bring jobs to our county.”
The Development Authority of Bryan County serves as the economic development arm of Bryan County and its municipalities. The authority focuses on industrial and commercial development, including Interstate Centre, a 1,100-acre industrial park at the intersection of I-16 and U.S. 280.
