Curves raising funds to fight cancer

Curves recently announced that in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, Richmond Hill residents can purchase a $10 punch card for 10 workouts, with proceeds going to American Cancer Society.
The workouts can be done in honor of someone who has battled breast cancer and a poster will be up in the Club for each participant to sign as a way to show community support.
“The Curves mission is to strengthen women, and this promotion helps us do just that,” Curves of Richmond Hill owner Delene Broeckling said.
“The punch card is a fun way for women to get involved and help punch out cancer, but it also gives us the opportunity to teach the importance of exercising regularly and maintaining a healthy weight. After all, 30 minutes of ‘me’ time is always a good thing.”
This offer is limited to one 10-workout punch card per person. The 10 visits must be completed by Nov. 15, 2013.
