The Richmond Hill/Bryan County Chamber of Commerce will celebrate its 32nd anniversary with a cocktail party from 6-9 p.m. Aug. 31 at Fish Tales, located at 3203 Ft. McAllister Road at the Ft. McAllister Marina on the Ogeechee River.

The celebration will feature delicious food, drinks and live entertainment by Luke Lander. A cash bar will be available and the attire is coastal casual.

The chamber was incorporated on Sept. 4, 1985, by local business leaders Johnny Murphy, Charlie Stafford and Bob Ward. At that time, only about 20 to 25 businesses even existed in Richmond Hill, according to first board chairman Johnny Murphy.

Over the past three decades, both the chamber and Richmond Hill grew significantly. The current chamber membership roster boasts 380 members and Richmond Hill/Bryan County is one of the fastest growing communities in Georgia and nationwide.

2017 Board Chairman Trace Palmer invites chamber members and guests to come and enjoy a fun, festive evening at Fish Tales.

“This evening is a way we can celebrate the chamber and its members,” Palmer said. “On behalf of the entire board, we want to thank our members for their support and involvement in making Richmond Hill/Bryan County such a wonderful place to live, work and play.”

RHBC Chamber members in good standing will receive two complimentary tickets. Additional guest tickets are $25 and RSVPs are required for members and guests by Aug. 18 by calling 912-756-3444 or emailing Info@RHBCchamber.org .
