Authorities say they’ve caught a Richmond Hill teen who they allege has been prowling in the nude in the Buckhead subdivision for years.

Brandin Scott, 17, currently faces one charge of prowling and is free on $130 bond, according to an arrest warrant.

But Bryan County Sheriff Clyde Smith and BCSD Det. Mickey Sands said Friday they believe Scott is a peeping tom who has been roaming Buckhead for two to three years.

The teen came to the attention of authorities on May 30 when Sands was sent to a Buckhead address regarding a complaint of a man walking around the neighborhood naked and throwing rocks at a window. Sands spotted a naked man, who ran. Sands called RHPD K-9 officer Doug Sahlberg. he reportedly picked up a trail which allegedly led authorities to the Scott’s house along a trail that included a pair of pants in the road and a sock with a hole in the toe on an air conditioning unit.

No arrest was made that night. On June 19, Sands returned to the Scott home where he allegedly got a confession out of Scott. Scott reportedly admitted to prowling and walking around in the nude, but denied being a peeping tom.

Sands advised Scott that a warrant would be issued for prowling and gave him a date to turn himself in. He went to jail on June 28 and was released the same day.

"There’s been a prowler for several years in this area, matching his description, and I believe he is the one," said Sands.
