Bryan County Schools is looking forward to welcoming over 100 new teachers to its school system this year.

The year will kick off with Dells and Dogs on Sunday, July 21.  This inaugural event will allow new teachers an opportunity to bring their families to enjoy fun, food and games while they receive their district-issued laptops.

Each of them will be using this technology during New Teacher Orientation that begins on Monday, July 22.  New Teacher Orientation will run for two consecutive days and teachers will participate in professional learning sessions that will help prepare them for the classroom, as well as orient them to employment with Bryan County Schools.

Paul Brooksher, Superintendent, said “Teachers don’t just impact the here and now for our students, they significantly influence the future for them.  That is why we are always hyper-focused on hiring the best-of-the-best, and we are excited about welcoming over 100 phenomenal new teachers to Bryan County Schools this year.”
