Bryan County school bus involved in wreck Wednesday
bus-wreck-2

A three-vehicle accident resulted in a school bus running off the road and hitting a tree at the intersection of Hwy. 144 and Brisbon Road around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.
The school bus was not carrying passengers and one driver was injured.
Here is what happened according to Georgia State Patrol Officer Derrick Strickland: Guyton resident Lacey Bodin was travelling west on Hwy. 144 in her Honda Civic and stopped in the road while waiting for bus driver Dean Davis, who was travelling east, to pass before turning on Brisbon. Savannah resident Joshua Goldman, who was travelling west behind Bodin in his Saturn, reportedly rear ended Bodin, causing her to enter the westbound lane and collide with the bus.
Strickland said the bus struck the left front end of the Saturn before veering off into the woods and hitting a tree.
Only Bodin was reported to have suffered injuries, and she was transported by EMS to Memorial Hospital. Her vehicle received the most damage as well. As of late Friday afternoon, Bodin was still hospitalized but in "good condition," according to Michael Nortricka with Memorial.
