From the Bryan County Sheriff’s Office Report:

Damage to property

• Man reports that a 2x4 hit by the truck in front of him ended up hitting his windshield. No injuries to report. Both vehicles were taken off the scene by the drivers.

Abandoned vehicle

• An abandoned 2016 gold-colored Chevrolet Malibu was towed. The car was on Whispering Pine Rd. for approximately two weeks.

Damage to property

• Man reports that a cardboard box flew and hit his vehicle while he was driving westbound on SR-404.

The cardboard box caused scratches on the front bumper on the right-hand side. The vehicle that that box flew out of did not stop, but the complainant was able to get the tag number. The complainant was not injured.

Lost/mislaid property

• Man files a police report for a lost tag; says that he has not received it in the mail yet.

Domestic dispute

• Deputies respond to a domestic dispute between a couple.

DUI - less safe (alcohol), driving with suspended/revoked license

• The man involved in the domestic dispute above was later found and arrested for the above charges.

Runaway juvenile

• Deputy dispatched in response to a runaway juvenile.

Terroristic threats and acts

• Woman reports that her daughter has been receiving intimidating threats on Snapchat.

Alarm call

• Deputy responds to an alarm call at a residence. No signs of intrusion were found.

Theft by taking - misdemeanor

• Woman reports a stolen license plate on a car primarily driven by her husband, who is currently overseas.

Speeding, driving while license suspended or revoked

• Man driving along Belfast Keller arrested with the above charges.

Unruly juvenile

• Deputies respond to an argument between a mother and her daughter.

No insurance

• Deputy responds to a person who passed out behind the wheel, was found to have been driving without insurance and expired registration.

The driver was tired due to working a late shift.

Damage to property

• Woman on Hwy 17 reports damage to her vehicle from a blue strap flying out from a truck in front of her. She reported no injuries and had someone on route to change her back tire.

Driving while license suspended or revoked

• Man arrested for the above offense.
