August 18 Impersonating a public officer or employee

• Deputy responds to a man reporting fraud/impersonation in the county. A man reports being scammed by a man claiming to be a Lt. Kirby from the Richmond Hill Police Department.

DUI - less safe (drugs)

• Driver placed under arrest for the above offense.

Failure to maintain lane, DUI - less safe (drugs)

• Driver arrested, cited for the above offenses.

Trafficking in cocaine, illegal drugs, DUI - less safe (alcohol), failure to maintain lane, failure for driver to exercise due care, too fast for conditions

• Driver charged for the above offenses.

Speeding in excess of maximum limits, no driver’s license/ unlicensed operator

• Driver arrested for driving without a valid license and for speeding 92 MPH in a 70 zone. Speeding in excess of maximum limits, affixing materials that reduce visibility of windows/ windshield, failure to yield to emergency vehicle, marijuana possession (less than 1 oz), DUI - less safe (drugs)

• Driver arrested, cited for the above offenses.

August 19 DUI - less safe (alcohol), expired registration, improper U-turn, failure to maintain lane, driving on wrong side of roadway, no license on person

• Driver placed under arrest for the above offenses Theft by taking - misdemeanor

• Deputies dispatched for a theft report. A man helping build homes in the Woodland Trail subdivision reports that a stove placed in an unfinished home was stolen. The cost of the stove was estimated at $800.

Matter of record

• Deputy dispatched to residence in response to a 911 hangup. Deputy attempted to make contact with the occupants of the residence. After knocking on the door multiple times, the deputy received no response. The deputy then walked around the perimeter of the residence and verified that the residence was secure. Deputy then knocked on the door one final time and still received no response. Dispatch was advised that there was no answer at the door, the residence looked secure and that everything seemed ok.

Theft by taking

• Deputies dispatched in reference to fraud. Man advised that 8 weeks ago on June 27th he became aware of a student loan on his credit report. The man explained that he did not take out a student loan for himself or any of his family members. The student loan was approximately $5,000. The man requested a police report so that he may dispute this loan.

Damage to property

• Deputy dispatched in reference to damage to property. Complainant (office manager with Mclendon Enterprises) reports that she heard a loud bang and was advised by surrounding buildings that a dump truck struck the power line. She stated she called the driver when she noticed he was driving away and advised him to return for a report. The dump truck driver advised he dumped his load and was distracted by putting his seat belt on. He stated he forgot his bed was up on his truck and caught the power lines.

Driving while license suspended or revoked

• Deputy observed a vehicle traveling westbound on Georgia Highway 144 with blue headlights and fog lights. Deputy conducted a traffic stop. Driver gave the deputy an identification card, and when asked about his driver’s license, he informed the deputy that two months ago, he was informed that his license was suspended during another traffic stop. Driver arrested for driving on a suspended license and a blue light violation. DUI - less safe (multiple substances)

• Deputy was dispatched to a single- vehicle accident on Georgia Highway 144 and Smith Rd. Driver placed under arrest for driving under the influence. August 20 No driver’s license/unlicensed operator, improper use of center use lane

• Driver arrested/cited for the above offenses.

Harassing communications

• Deputies dispatched in reference to harassment.

Abandoned vehicle

• Deputy was patrolling the area of I-16 westbound when they observed a vehicle on the shoulder of the roadway.

Abandoned vehicle

• Deputy observed a white Ford F-150 parked on the side of the roadway (almost in the roadway) that appeared to be broken down. The vehicle was located on US Highway 280 (West) near C.C. Road.

Warrant executed

• Warrant executed for a man in Liberty County, who had a warrant in Bryan County.

No driver’s license/unlicensed operator, removing or affixing license plate with no insurance, tag/registration requirements

• Driver arrested, charged with the above offenses.
