May 2: Expired registration, marijuana

• Vehicle stopped for having expired registration; the driver had marijuana in the vehicle.

May 2: theft by shoplifting

• Dollar General cashier reports a customer shopli8ing.The cashier stated that a white male wearing a short-sleeve blue shirt, jeans, and red cleats was inside the store placing items under his shirt but the cameras inside the store were not working to confirm if the incident occurred. Officer approached someone fitting the description but the man informed him that all he had on him was a soda that he bought. Looking inside the man's vehicle, the deputy was unable to determine if there was any stolen merchandise inside the vehicle from Dollar General. 

May 2: financial transaction card theft

• Man at the BCSO office wanted to make a report for fraud. An individual was trying to withdraw $58,000 from his account; the man immediately called his bank and asked them to freeze his account. No money was used or stolen. 

May 2: No insurance

• Motorcycle with no tag lights was stopped; Driver did not have driver's license on him, nor valid insurance.

 May 2: Civil matter

• Couple reports a civil matter over use of a vehicle.

May 2: Theft by deception - felony

• Woman reports identity theft from a person claiming to be an Amazon worker.

May 2: Criminal trespass

• Deputy responds to feud between neighbors; both parties allege criminal trespass on their dirt roads/residences.

May 3: DUI, alcohol

• Deputy dispatched to an intoxicated subject sitting in a pickup truck.

May 4: Criminal trespass 

• Deputy dispatched to a residence in response to a disorderly juvenile.

May 4: No driver’s license, speeding

• Driver went 80 MPH in a posted 55 MPH zone. Did not have a drivers' license. 

May 4: Abandoned vehicle

• A white pop-up style camper appeared to be abandoned at Morgans Bridge. Vehicle towed.

May 4: failure to maintain lane, no drivers’ license

• Driver arrested for the above offenses.

May 4: no drivers’ license, speeding

• Driver arrested for the above offenses..

May 5: no license, registration, speeding

• A motorcycle on GA-204 went 90 MPH. Driver did not have a drivers' license or insurance.

May 5: Verbal dispute

• Deputies dispatched to Parkers' Richmond Hill (Hwy 17, 7530) regarding a verbal dispute. The first caller reported an argument between two individuals, one of whom reportedly had a gun and left the scene. The second caller was at the Bryan County Sheri's Office. The deputy spoke with the second caller, who stated that while waiting at a gas pump, he asked the driver of the vehicle in front of him to move so he could pump gas. The unknown driver began arguing and threatened to use a weapon. In response, the man went to his vehicle to get his gun, which he claimed was holstered on his hip; he never brandished it.
