The Bryan County Elementary School Community 5K Color Run will be held on Friday, April 19, but runners must register by April 5.

The event raises money for the school's connections classes. BCES has nine different connections/specials classes that students rotate through. These include art, music, PE, STEM, media center, technology, writing lab, math lab, and guidance (with the counselor).

The 5K course runs by the elementary, middle, and high schools with special zones where runners will get splashed with color. After the race, runners and families have access to a Fun Zone with a bounce house, playground, teacher dunk tank, DJ w/music, concession stand, and more.

Medals will be awarded to the top three runners in their age group and the top three runners overall.

Cost is $40 and includes entrance to the race, a personal color packet, a white Color Run t-shirt, and access to the Fun Zone for them and their family. Runners who register by April 5 will receive a color packet and t-shirt.

Sign ups are through the BCES facebook page or directly at the BCES Color Run event page at https://tinyurl.com/y7vkg9kq.
