A Tennessee company linked to the owner of Savannah’s Memorial Health University Medical Center recently bought a lot of land off Port Royal Road in South Bryan worth a lot of money.

Savannah Health Services LLC purchased the 432.2 acre tract valued at $9 million on Jan. 29 “for and in consideration of the sum of Ten Dollars ($10.00),” according to records filed that same day at the Bryan County Courthouse in Pembroke.

The seller is listed as Richmond Hill Real Estate Acquisition, Inc., a Georgia corporation with an address in Daytona Beach, Fla.

The Savannah Health Services LLC, based in Nashville, lists its address as in care of HCA Healthcare.

HCA Healthcare bought Memorial in 2018 for a reported $456 million.

Memorial’s corporate PR office in Savannah did not return a phone call or email Wednesday.
