Maj. Gen. Rick Lynch, commander of Fort Stewart's 3rd Infantry Division, talks to a military reporter about the changes he has seen in Iraq during 2007.

Lynch and the rest of the 3rd ID's troops from around Liberty County have been deployed to the Middle East since early last year.

The changes he says he has seen include the emergence and development of Iraqi concerned citizens groups, continuing security concerns, employing Iraqi citizens, Suni and Shiite working together to improve conditions, structuring the rebuilding of the Iraqi government and his hopes and expectations for the future of his area of responsibility.
