

The 2019-2020 school year for Bryan County Schools students will start Aug. 1 and end May 21, according to the new school calendar released Friday.
Pre-planning for teachers will begin July 24.
Students will get a two-day break on Sept. 2-3 for Labor Day. Fall break is Oct. 14-15.
Students will get another two-day break Nov. 11 and Nov. 12 for Veterans Day. Thanksgiving break is Nov. 25-29 and the first semester ends Dec. 18.
The break for Christmas and New Year’s begins Dec. 19 and continues through Jan. 7 for students.
Other holidays on the school calendar include Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Jan. 17; a student holiday on Feb. 17; March 16-17 for St. Patrick’s Day; and Spring Break is April 6-10.
The 2020-2021 calendar has also been set.
The Bryan County school board approved the calendars at its Jan. 24 meeting after getting input from parents, staff members and community stakeholders.
