BOOMTOWN When youre a little kid, you want to grow up to be something that has a flashy uniform or comes with a lot of fame. Firefighters. Ballerinas. Movie stars. Cowboys. These are common responses when little ones are asked what there are.

Some children subvert the stereotype, though, and do want to grow up to be something practical or famous-less. I wanted to be a writer from a very young age and would pen and bind my own books on that 90s printer paper (yes, the kind that you had to tear off the punch-hole strips on the sides).

There are even kids who want to grow up to be scientists, though most of that work seems like low-key, lab-based activities. Although I imagine aspiring scientists would admit that they really want to make things blow up.

A recently popular YouTube video showing just that might make us all want to change career paths.

In a clip uploaded by Gregory Kroll, we see what happens when a bottle filled with water is thrown into molten steel. Spoiler alert: Boom.

According to the description on the video, Kroll said that H2O expands 600 times when the molecules meet steel that has been heated to 2,500 degrees Fahrenheit, explaining why the water turns to steam and sends a shower of sparks raining down on the room. This gif with a different view shows how terrifying that would be to witness in person.

Also good to know from Krolls comments: No one was killed in what was described as an intentional incident. No word on the perpetrators employment status.
