DARIEN — The Darien-McIntosh County Chamber of Commerce will host its annual Independence Day celebration Saturday, July 2, in historic downtown Darien. The Second Chance Band will entertain the crowd at 7 p.m., and attendees are encouraged to bring food, chairs and blankets. At dark, the fireworks display over the Darien River will begin.
Admission is $10 for adults and children age 13 and older and $5 for children ages 6-12. Children ages 5 and younger are admitted for free.
Advance adult tickets are available at the Darien-McIntosh County Chamber in Darien and the Visitor Information Center in Preferred Outlets at Darien, just off Interstate 95 at exit 49.
