Proceeds from Saturday's Jazz at the Beach go to the Savannah Philharmonic Orchestra and Chorus

SAVANNAH — Tybee Island will get a little livelier on May 7 at the Savannah Philharmonic Orchestra and Chorus’ annual fundraiser, Jazz at the Beach.

The event, 2-5 p.m. at North Beach Bar and Grill, 33 Meddin Drive, will feature jazz by Savannah singer Laiken Williams and her band, Fellowship of Love. Tickets are $40 each, and proceeds benefit the Savannah Philharmonic Orchestra and Chorus.

Guests will be treated to a spread of appetizers and consider items in a silent auction. A cash bar will also be available.

Williams has made a name for herself in and around the Coastal Empire by wowing audiences with performances that feature a variety of jazz, classic soul, upbeat swing, soul, funk, blues and pop.

"Music lovers are really in for a joyful time at Jazz at the Beach. What’s better than relaxing with your toes in the sand, tunes in the air, sun in the sky, and plenty of delicious snacks and drinks?" asks Savannah Philharmonic Artistic Director and Conductor Peter Shannon.
