National country recording artist Darryl Worley will be the first performer at the newly built amphitheater at Bryant Commons in Hinesville.
The live performance, slated for Saturday evening, April 6, will celebrate the completion of the 1,500-seat hillside venue. The concert is presented by the Hinesville Downtown Development Authority.
Tickets are $30 in advance or $35 at the gate and can be purchased at www.etix.com.
A noted performer on the country music scene for almost 15 years, Worley has had 16 singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs Chart, including three No. 1 hits: “I Miss My Friend,” “Awful, Beautiful Life” and “Have You Forgotten?,” which was inspired by the events of Sept. 11, 2011, and was nominated for a Country Music Award for Single of the Year.
Worley frequently performs for U.S. troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. He played a key role in the organization of the American Freedom Festival, an annual concert that benefits U.S. veterans.
Transportation and parking information will be updated on www.hinesvilledowntown.com as the event approaches.
For more information on the concert, go to www.etix.com or www.hinesvilledowntown.com or call HDDA program assistant Katrina Barrow at 877-4332.
