The Richmond Hill Community Theatre will present “The Kids Left. The Dog Died.  Now What?” by Carole Caplan-Lonner at 7:30 p.m. April 5 and 6 at the John W. Stevens Wetlands Education Center in J.F. Gregory Park.
The musical about those facing a host of midlife crisis first premiered at the New York Musical Theatre Festival in 2007.
The show takes a humorous look at the day-to-day concerns of the over-50 “empty-nester” crowd and includes everything from retirement and AARP, dating to divorce, plastic surgery and grandparenting.
Many familiar faces return to the local stage, including Dawn Berry, Ashlee Farris, Tom Harris, Renthia Richardson and Jacki Scott.  
New faces include Kimberly Irby, Amy Knussmann and Gene Pinion.  The tech crew consists of stage managers Ken Butler and Renthia Richardson, sound technician Courtney Gardner and light technician Joel Teston.   
Scott Dixon is the accompanist, and the show is under the direction of Jacki Scott.
Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors, military and students and are available at the door.
The show is not recommended for those under 16.
