Board can't decide where to put music hall

MACON — Members of a board trying to decide whether to keep a Georgia music museum in Macon or move it were unable to decide, and members say they want to learn more about potential sites.
The Georgia Music Hall of Fame Authority is trying to choose between Macon and three other cities — Athens, Dunwoody and Woodstock — but a vote on Wednesday failed to decide the matter and the board will continue the selection process.
The board decided not to accept the decision of an evaluation committee that would have allowed the museum to stay in Macon.
Mercer University Chancellor Kirby Godsey said he and other board members have until April 15 to inform Gov. Nathan Deal of a decision. The Georgia Legislature has said it will stop funding the music hall.
