Recall prompted by unlisted nuts

ATLANTA —  The Kroger Co. Atlanta Division is recalling select in-store made Bakery Mardi Gras King Cake Cinnamon because it may contain pecans not listed on the label.
Customers who purchased the product between Dec. 30, 2012, and Feb. 4, 2013, should return the product to stores for a full refund or replacement. Kroger stores in Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina and Tennessee are included in the recall.
People who are allergic to pecans could have a serious or life-threatening reaction if they consume this product. For consumers who are not allergic to pecans, there is no safety issue with the product.
The affected Bakery Mardi Gras King Cake Cinnamon have a “sell by” dates of Feb. 7, 2013, and before, and have the UPC Code 4157327767.
Kroger has removed affected items from store shelves and initiated its customer recall notification system that alerts customers who may have purchased recalled Class 1 products through register receipt tape messages and phone calls.
