Pembroke’s annual Spooktacular Saturday was a "great success," organizers said.

The event attracted an estimated 50 kids and 20 adults who participated.

"There were games, contests and plenty of Halloween candy," according to Pembroke Downtown Development Authority Director Alex Floyd.

Longtime resident and volunteer Herbie Benton said, "It’s a long day, but seeing kids have fun makes it all worth it."

Floyd thanked prize sponsors Farm Bureau, The Heritage Bank, First Bank of Coastal Georia, Floyd Farms and Page Farms.
